 sopranos Roseanne Ackerley, Zhanna Alkhazova, Leah Crowne, Sangeetha Ekambaram, Alexia Mate, Solène Le Van and Amanda Zory, mezzos Vita Koreneva and Madison Marie McIntosh, tenors Jeremy Brauner, Steven Andrew Murray and Nicholas Simpson, baritone Daniel Sutin (a Metropolitan Opera artist since 2001) and bass-baritone Andrew Richardson. 


Collaborative pianist is the distinguished pianist Craig Ketter.

The New York Chamber Music Festival is thrilled to present the Free event “FROM LISZT TO LIGETI” - a Violin & Piano recital of music by the Hungarian composers Liszt, Hubay, Goldmark, Kodaly, Bartok and Ligeti, performed by violinist Elmira Darvarova (former Concertmaster of The Metropolitan Opera in New York) and pianist Thomas Weaver (faculty member, The Curtis Institute). 


This electrifying program brings Romantic era masterpieces of extreme rhapsodic virtuosity, along with refined renditions of the beloved Hungarian Csardas style, and spellbinding folklore-derived tunes, side-by-side with a contrasting modern-era work by Ligeti (recently-discovered ), Don't miss this exciting program!
